Growing up in East London, surrounded by rappers like Dizzee Rascal, Robyn Regan is the sensational young singer-songwriter who is not afraid to buck the trend. Her upbeat pop works well against the grain, with a unique sound and spectacular pop vocal that truly stands out from the crowd.
Robyn Regan brings a brand new soft release with “Oh I”, a song about something that everyone can relate to – the big teenage crush!
Robyn’s previous releases have gained high praise from radio stations and critics alike, plus plaudits from an even higher source, with tracks already making the top 10 in the iTunes’ songwriter chart!
She has performed on stage at some of London’s most prestigious venues, including The London Palladium, Her Majesty’s Theatre, The Hackney Empire, The Globe Theatre and The Barbican. Robyn has also been able to pick up performance spots on TV and in advertising, working on a campaign for the British Heart Foundation and appearing on kids TV shows ‘The Crunch’ (Nickelodeon) and ‘Smile’ (CBBC).
This mixture of talented song writing & performance Robyn Regan is set on course to become the Bow Belle of Pop .
When Alan Parsons – renowned songwriter, musician and engineer for the likes of The Beatles (‘Let It Be’, ‘Abbey Road’) and Pink Floyd (‘Dark Side of the Moon’) – says a band could be ‘the next Radiohead’, then that band is a band who are worthy of taking seriously.
Such is the case for London based four piece Electric Litany, an indie band whose unique brand of atmospheric songwriting is picking up praise wherever it’s heard. The Guardian wrote that ‘bleak and broody music has never been quite so thrilling’, while Clash Magazine described them as ‘bruising post punk…with beauty to their melancholy’.
This is one band you cannot afford to miss in 2015, and with new album ‘Enduring Days You Will Overcome’ on the way, you won’t have to. Their style, summed up by five times AP columnist of the year Nick Desriso as ‘synthy, melancholic etherealism’, is truly setting them apart on their route to the top of the industry.
Influenced by the new wave likes of The Cure and Joy Division, but with a twisted contemporary approach, Electric Litany have created a timeless album against the odds. Working on a shoestring budget and helped over the line by fans, the LP is a triumph. To the band the music represents both the struggle as a band to produce the release, as well as the oppression of society by the political elite.
Having already toured with or supported the likes of Interpol, Alan Parsons, British Sea Power and soon Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, most of whom they now count among their ever growing and dedicated fan base, it’s very easy to see Electric Litany breaking out of their cult status to mainstream success very soon.
In fact, they impressed the aforementioned Alan Parsons so much that he and co-producer John Regna agreed to work on the album personally – such is their belief in this group. And, with a huge gig alongside the Prodigy coming up on 4th July, it’s set to be a huge couple of months for the band.
Powered by a love for writing great songs as well as a strong social conscience, Electric Litany are teetering on the edge of something very special this year. Don’t take it from us – take it from the critics.
Award winning counter-tenor set to bring new life to the mythical character who never ages
Peter Pan, the timeless story by J.M. Barrie which has entered into folklore through countless iterations and adaptations, is finally set for the UK operatic stage thanks to the Welsh National Opera. Starring the award winning vocals of Iestyn Morris in the title role, the innovative staging and production of the traditional tale by Olivier Award winning director Kieth Warner, who has worked closely with British composer Richard Ayres and librettist Lavinia Greenlaw, represents a faithful but original adaptation of the classic story.
Positioned as a genuine route for youngsters into Opera, the star of a show of this magnitude has to be a perfect fit – one found in the inimitable talents of Iestyn Morris.
A former winner of the Tracey Chadwell Award for contemporary song and also winner of the Patricia Routledge National English Song Competition, Morris has performed at the top level from a young age. His reputation within the industry is such that he was specially invited to return to the latter for its centenary, as a member of the prestigious judging panel.
Enjoying a career that has seen him perform throughout Europe at some of the most revered venues in the world, Iestyn Morris, who created the role giving its world premiere in Stuttgart, is hugely excited to be recreating such a well-loved character, this time in a new co-production between WNO and Komische Oper Berlin, in what will be the UK English language premiere. In London alone Morris has appeared at Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall, as well as in recital at various locations across the capital, including concerts with The King’s Consort. Now, with ‘Peter Pan’ set to take flight once more in Morris’ capable hands, it marks the latest chapter in a stellar career.
This journey has seen Iestyn Morris perform with some of the most exciting and challenging roles in the Opera world (see below for credited highlights), and will now see him step into the magical world of J.M. Barrie’s Neverland as the iconic Peter Pan. It’s a spectacle not to be missed.
Iestyn Morris career highlights:

Astoundingly versatile in his songwriting skills, London singer/songwriter, rapper and fusion artist, 2Nice is the kind of artist that only comes along every once in a while. His incredible fusion of reggae, pop, hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass has been setting him apart for several years now, building true credibility in the underground urban scene.
Since winning the 2008 award for ’UK Unsigned Best Reggae/Dancehall Act’, 2Nice’s momentum and reputation has been growing thanks to his innate talent for bringing together and blending styles. His buzz is such that urban music royalty are sitting up and taking notice, with fans and collaborators including Congo Natty, Luciano, Tinie Tempah, Dizzie Rascal, Wiley, Mark Morrison and more.
All the more impressive, 2Nice does all this while suffering the debilitating effects of epilepsy. Using music in his everyday battle to overcome the condition, 2Nice finds the creative process soothing – allowing him to turn his thoughts away from an illness he has found it hard to come to terms with.
And now, with new single ‘Sunlight’ release on QW-KEYMUSIC it’s set to show the world exactly how it sounds when pop, rap, reggae and EDM are drawn together, his star will continue to rise:
Gritty and raw while still having a polished sheen, ‘Sunlight’ is a single which could well see 2Nice break through from cult status to the mainstream. It’s truly impressive work from a brave and innovative artist not afraid to try new things.
Following on from the huge success of their latest release “Sputter The Worms” the band have returned with a track very dear to their collective hearts.
The band had this to say on the cover: “Covering music from the bands you like is always fun and exciting, but trying to do justice to it is another matter completely. We wanted a song that felt right; that was executed to the level it deserved, something we could turn into a high energy beast onstage, and most importantly a song that we all liked playing. Monster Magnet has always been that unique band as far as influence goes with Reverted. I guess it was just a matter of time before we did something like this.
“They’ve produced a rather wonderful debut EP after striking a rich vein of creativity to extract five shiny nuggets of mystical psychedelic pop. We’re delighted to premiere their video for what is perhaps our favourite track on the EP ‘ Good Morning Star’ a driving melodic psych-pop gem.”
– THE VPME
To define Goldsmack, just imagine that Love, Bruce Haack, The Velvet Underground and Nico teamed up to compose a song for a Disney classic. They are a psychedelic power pop trio of gold-scented, gold junkies, created to bring discord and entropy into the world of pop music with a sound that is soft and electric; quirky and genuine; super serious and absolutely whimsical.
With her very own contemporary brand of layered pop combined with a celebrated sassy confidence, Scarlet Baxter is an up and coming artist with the tools to go all the way.
A huge fan, Head of Absolute Radio James Curran had this to say following a recent blockbusting performance at Hard Rock Rising in London:
“By far the best female vocal we have seen in this competition!”
BBC Introducing Oxford have debuted Cruel Love already with DJ Dave Gilyeat saying “this track should be in the charts”! Add to that Kat Orman of BBC Oxford labelling her ‘One To Watch’ in 2015 and the stars are aligning for Scarlet Baxter.
Currently building a buzz with their live shows in and around London, Cherry White have now taken to the studio to record a brand new EP, ‘Staring at the Sun’. Inspired by life in London during this austerity era, surrounded by the greed of the wealthy, the tracks circle around an aspiration to reach higher and achieve their goals in the music industry and beyond.
The EP is led out of the gate by single ‘Drifter’, which will be released on June 1st, one week prior to the full EP:
‘Drifter’ to be released 1st June, followed by EP on 8th June
Engineered at Bark Studios by the excellent Brian O’Shaughnessy (Primal Scream, The Firm, My Bloody Valentine), the EP does a fantastic job of capturing the frenetic energy of a band who thrive on a live environment.
Cherry White’s live reputation was cemented at ‘Togfest’ in 2014, where their festival debut to a huge crowd was so well received they immediately sold out of albums. Having also taken to the stage at some of London’s top venues, including The Troubadour, Hope and Anchor (Islington) and Covent Garden Arts Theatre, their reputation in our fair capital is beginning to grow. Further afield, a BBC Wales live session a number of years ago proved there’s life outside the city for this eclectic group.
‘A few weeks ago we found ourselves back in the neighbourhood at the Birds Nest. After a couple of beers Carl had the bright idea of conducting an informal survey in the pub asking, who was the greatest British Actor of the last 50 years? We were pleased and surprised that the most popular choice that evening was the king of market-stall and marshall arts – Jason Statham. Carl was intrigued but not completely convinced that this was a fair representation of the voice of the people and so conducted some further research in the area. In all, after getting over 350 responses, he found that Statham was more popular than Michael Caine , Sean Connery and Sir Laurence Olivier put together.’
The next step is to make sure Jason knows about the release and this is the challenge with his new movie ‘SPY’ on the horizon , it is now down to the Men with Ven to do all they can to set up a meeting with the movie icon, they have numerous plans in the pipeline from flashmobs to lookalikes but all the guys really want is the thumbs up from the man himself, they have therefore put together a tribute video with which they intend to reach out and attract his attention and from there who knows ! maybe even get him to appear in the real video and truly help Mr.Statham to hit the pop charts and the movie box office charts at the same time.
